Hi

Our 20 weeks old lab, is currently on autarky puppy complete food. From what I've heard and read on various forums. Ideally I'd like to put him on a barf diet. Unfortunately, we dont have the room, for another freezer, or room in ours.

So I'd like to maybe, Feed him possibly a bit of everything, raw, veggies, tinned food etc. Would this be possible. As i'm worried that he is growing too quickly ( and ultimetly this is not good for his joints). Also to maybe keep it varied, so his tummy does not get upset by various foodstuff.

Would this be ok, any suggestions ideas

Hi
If you can't feed all raw then I would continue to feed the Autarky and add whatever raw you can to that.I would not bother with tinned if it were my choice.
You can still pick up cheap cuts of meat from you local meat market or supermarket .I would try feeding anything you can get...chicken carcasses and wings, ribs, hearts etc.....just buy what you can when you can.

our 5 (a mixture of breeds!) have a couple of raw chicken wings or naturediet for breakfast, and a scoop of autarky for tea, as we too havent the room for raw food for so many dogs

theyre all fit & healthy, nice coats, we compete in agility and dont seem to have any digestion problems, chicken wings are new for us, we started ont hem last year, the dogs teeth are much cleaner on them

Exactly what I do but feed Burns instead.  Unfortunately older one just didnt get on with Autarky.  I give them chicken wings 2-3 times a week and they go mad for them.  Other than that they have mashed up veggies 2-3 times a week as well so it is always interesting for them.  They also have raw carrots sometimes instead of chews for treats which they seem to enjoy as well.
