Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / blood in stools
- By Guest [gb] Date 18.01.05 14:18 UTC
My 11 month old ckcs has had soft runnyish stools for the past 1-2 days. Yesterday she had an accident in the kitchen and there were 2 small drops of blood. I've rang the vets who said there is a virus going round and just to give her chicken and rice and monitor the condition but I'm a bit confused to how to monitor it as she goes in the garden usually! Has anyone else any other suggestions. I have booked her into the vets for tomorrow just in case.
Thanks
Marie

You can keep an eye on how often she is asking to go out as well as her general condition such as over lethargic or signs of dehydration (pinched up skin does not return quickly) or you could slip your coat on and go out with her :)
