I had a call from a lady today very worried about her 9 month old lab pup he started being ill at about 3 months when his eyes were sore and runny and he developed small lumps in them then all lumps kept appearing all over his body his Vet  has said that he doesnt know whats the matter and reffered him to another Vet who also didnt know either.
They both said the  Pup would have to be on steriods all his life.
The dog is insured Ive advised she has to be reffered to a specialist what do others think? anu advice?

I'd agree with the specialist visit too- It may be something and nothing that they can sort out for pup :)

Mattie, its a long shot but here goes, my little pup had lumps all over his body but they started with just 1 on his side. His eyes got runny, then his ears, then the lumps started everywhere else, it was called sterile Idiopathic Nodular Panniculitis. From what I know it can start anywhere, also it generally caused by infection/bacteria. A biopsy is needed to determine the diagnosis tho. Vit E was prescribed as well as high dose steroids. He had steroids at first but it was only when the dose was highered it got under control, I remeber that bit well.

Christine, Spain.

ps symptoms are very very similar to an allergy....in a way it was cos it was a reaction to his vaccine.
