please help!! my dog is 15 months old and I am still having problems. He was 4 months old when we got him form the breeder. he knows that pooh goes in the garden but can't seem to ask to go! Every night I hear him jump off the bed and let him out (if I don't he poohs by the back door) but now he is getting me up several times a night. If I ignore him he poohs by the back door. I feed him  a small tray of food at 8.30am and 5.30pm and walk him after each (he poohs out on a walk) I really am at the end of my tether as I am not getting any sleep! I praise him and reward when he does a pooh in the garden or when out, and he is not overweight nor ill (pooh quite normaL!) I just want him to sleep through to at least 5am!! Last night he was up at 1am and 4am and I let him out both times but the he poohed by the back door later on! Any suggestions. I love him more than anything and will try anything! He is so good in every other way and sits by the back door when I am at home so I know he needs to go. he used to wee on the beds and all over the house but we managed to stop that! but the husband is getting a bit fed up with the pooh in the dining room (not hygienic!) even though he does go on newspaper!
Please do you have any suggestions anyone...if so thanks for reading and replying!!  Desperate dog mum!!

Buy a crate and go back to basics.Put your dog in the crate at night(they are not cruel ) and then in the morning take him straight outside.By doing this he will not toilet at night since dogs will not mess in their own beds.
