Our lovely 9 year old bitch was diagnosed with lympatic cancer (with secondaries in the chest) on 23.12.04.  She is well at the moment, the vet is successfully treating her with steriods to keep the swelling down on her right foreleg (due to lympatic gland blockage).
Poppy is our first dog, we have had her since she was 9 wks old, and have never faced this situation before.  Her needs for the future are paramount, but I would like any information from fellow owners on their experience with acupuncture or homepathic treatment to aid the quality of her life for her in the time we have left.

Please advise.

Can I say that I have only recently found this site in the last few days - and can't tell you how comforting I have found the words of encouragement other dog owners have passed on.

Might be worth talking to them about their palliative care and perhaps they can refer you to a Vet in your area.

You can get a list of homeopathic vets from the British Veterinary Association. If you get this list it will give details of vets close to you. If you register here one of us might know where a good homeopathic vet is in your area. As you have not stated where you live it is hard to help you find a homeopathic vet or accupuncture specialist.
