Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Ibizan puppy?
- By Guest [gb] Date 04.01.05 00:20 UTC
Hi,
I wonder if you can help. We are looking for an Ibizan or Pharoah puppy to join our family. Does anyone know of any breeders who may be planning a litter?
Thank you
Jane

I would contact the breed club and ask to be put on a breeders waiting list.  These are both breeds that are not the easiest to home as pets, and many breeders will only rear the number of pups (at least in Ibizans) that they have already booked for homes, as they can have very large litters, and can also attract the wrong sort of owner.

The lady I know only breeds every five years when she wishes to continue her line, sadly she lost her young bitch (literally) and hse was never found, so may allow her brother to be used on a bitch in order to ahve a pup for herself again.

They are lovely dogs, but not for the average pet owner, best suited to those with previous sight hound experience.
