Are we talking power cables here?  If you don't stop it you will have a dead dog on your hand.  Either fence the cables away where the dogs can't reach them (can you bury them in a conduit?) or never let your dogs out unattended or allow yourself to be distracted from them for a moment as the wrong action in the case of them chewing right through a power cable could mean not only a dead dog, but a dead human as well!!!

Is there any way you can cover them? either bury them, put them inside a pipe and then bury them, or run them higher up out of the dogs reach?

We had a problem with our youngest eating the internet wire from the PC to the telephone socket. I simply rubbed it all over with Daves Insanity Sauce and it did the trick, but obviously you cant do that, it will be washed off in the rain or snow at this time of year.

We used to get it from the kebab man. its the hottest, spiciest sauce going. burns like mad. we use it for when we have parties, play silly drinking games and if you lose you have to have a table spoon of the stuff. Killer stuff. Works wonders as an anti chew solution for pups and older dogs alike!
