I am sure that a few years ago there was a write up in one of the dog papers about a couple who had dogs and allowed people to bring their dogs to the cafe and have a meal there (the meal was for the humans of course!!). I'm not sure but I'm almost certain that one of them was in the Morecambe area, does anybody know who and where this is?

This is a fairly urgent request as I am hoping to arrange a surprise do for my father as his family live in and around that area and there's a show that I wd. like to attend on the same day.

Years ago we always took our dogs into restaurants when on holiday. It was quite normal, every one did and I never ever saw a dog foul the floor! Or for that matter cause any trouble of any kind!!! I’ve also taken dogs into Woolworths and Tescos on so many occasions!

Arr well, those were the days!!!

I used to live not far from them and do remember seeing a couple walking three whippets. Wonder if it is the same couple??

Helen it is the cafe on the stone jetty don't know what it is called though. They used to own the one on the shore at Hest Bank too but I'm not sure if they still do.

The only cafe I know of that let you bring your dogs in was at Lands End! Sorry no help am I????

I do know of a couple of cafes in Lytham St Annes which allow dogs in, one in Bispham (Blackpool), and one in Poulton-Le-Fylde, extremely useful for socialising young pups.
