Beware of any breeder who tries to sell you 2 puppies at the same time - it is really not a good idea as 2 puppies are much more than twice the work, and one puppy is usually enough for most normal families. Beyond puppy hood there are potential problems of the dogs bonding too much with each other, and the owner simply becoming a source of food and very little else, which makes training nigh on impossible. Besides, two puppies, especially of the same sex, from the same liter are more likely to have ranking problems as they get older (and bitches will fight for breathing rights, rather than breeding rights)
Far better to get one puppy, rear him and train him to your requirements, then, when that one is adult, get another puppy, as it's usually a lot easier to train a pup with a second dog already in the household.
