I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is approaching 15 months, my problem is I have been advised by my vet to wait a year for his testicle to drop into the normal position. One testicle is in the right place the other is visible half way down, this is never going to move and I have been advised to have it removed as it could get cancerous. I am going to have him fully castrated. Would it be worth having a second opinion? has anyone ever had a testicle moved to the right place? I really don't want him castrated but feel I have no choice.
Your views please, thanks.

Why not get just the one removed if you don't want him castrated? that way the one that hasn't dropped can't cause any problems and you can keep your eye on the other one (not literally of course ;) ) If his behaviour isn't causing any problems there's no real need to castrate him fully if you don't want.
I can only echo Dill's advice. If you are unhappy with your vet or feel that your options have not been properly explained then you should seek another opinion. However (as I'm sure you know), the testicle which has not fully descended will definitely have to be removed. If it hasn't fully descended by now then I would think it is extremely unlikely it ever will.
Good luck
