My friend has just had a rottweiler puppy thats 6weeks old there other dog snaps and mouths her when she goes near him. But he doesnt growl sometimes he just walks away she is on about getting rid of the older dog or having him pts because the rottweiler is what she has always wanted.

- is this serious ? - if your friend really wants to 'trade in' or kill her oldie just because she has a new puppy then she does not deserve to own ANY dog - she needs to give the situation a lot more time to settle down - this scenario sounds perfectly normal - what did she expet when she added a new pup to her household ?.

Has your friends dog ever met any puppys?  If not he probably doesn't understand that the puppy is another dog.

However, if your friend is serious about disposing of the older dog simply because he doesn't understand about puppys, she doesn't deserve a dog of any kind!

Isn't 6 weeks a bit young to be taken away from it's mum??  maybe the pup is going to the older dog for company!  Poor dog, this is a typical christmas case, 'we have a pup, lets get rid of the old'.............and in a few weeks time it will be the pups turn too :-(

Some people don't deserve pets of any sort.
