Just thought that I'd mention that not all dogs will enjoy tomorrow :) Tara is already a bit nervous - and all we are doing is wrapping presents up and other preparations :( She seems to notice the changes in routine and so tomorrow we will be particularly careful with her when my sister's family arrive. We'll keep her out of the way until we can bring her in quietly and give her a quiet corner to go to. She is a bit nervous of strangers and I don't want to give her the chance to do anything that she shouldn't :) Not all dogs like a house full of guests - so please be careful if your dog may fall into this category :)
Happy Xmas

That is a very good point. This year because we have Tess who is now only 6 months old, as well as Sal. I have delivered the presents to family rather than them coming here. Children excited by christmas and pups excited by children - not a peaceful/winning combination. So this year I have delivered the present and left the dogs at home after a good walk.
But next year should be back to normal with family coming here but this year a NO NO with the children and the pup. The compromise is the older nieces and nephews get to meet us in the park for a good walk with the dogs on both Xmas and boxing day. :)
I suspect accompanied by new bikes/scooters/remote controled cars and possibly a much wanted goalie net ;)

My dogs just LOVE Christmas - the oldies in particular seem to remember and get excited when the tree goes up and when they see us wrapping presents. They all unwrap their pressies and get better at it as they get older - for my two youngsters , this will be their first Chrismas so it will be interesting to see how they react too - we don't worry too much about visitors on Christmas day our son and daughter will be coming home and all our other visitors are our 'doggy' friends whose houses are just as mad as ours :D Merry Christmas everyone !

The only thing that sets Missy off is the smoke alarm going off - she wants to go out in the garden at that stage, and won't come in again :(
