Well I've gone and done it now, some but not all of my schips are threatening to leave home because of our new rescue!
Went to visit a kennels we occassionally use for schip rescue, which is also used by Derby council .........welllll there was a gorgeous 14-16wk old puppy on it's last day due to go for pts TODAY. The title tells you she's no longer at the kennels she's here with us at Castle schipperke, the only schips who don't like her are the 2 rescues with me for Xmas but they have good reason, the dog I castrated on Tuesday and the bitch is having a phantom and left the room to go sleep the shock off on my bed!
She travelled home beautifully on the back seat with me, visited my friends with our Xmas card deliveries, was most upset at one house when their westie ran upstairs screaming as soon as he laid eyes on her much to the amusment of the whole household lol.
Oh did I tell you what breed she was? A Rottie and the most laid back dog I've had since my lurcher days she loves everyone and everything even if they don't like her, I've never had a dog just walk in before and be ok with 7 other dogs and the cats from the get go. We've called her Merry as she's come at Xmas and she's so happy all the time despite someone having cut her whiskers off bless.

Lovely :) The real spirit of Xmas :)
Daisy

Bless you Schip She is a very lucky puppy who has fallen on her paws

Just a thought, could she be a potential show pup that was stolen and then abandoned. It is just I know they trim the whiskers off dobes for the showring, and wondered if that was the case in Rotti's?
Might be worth contacting the Rott folk to find out if a pup had been stolen of that age?
Whatever happens she has landed on ehr feet now!

My friend used to do Rottie rescue and had a look at her for me as the dock looks like it's 'homegrown' if you get me it's very long and pointed so we don't think she's a show rottie although she is very close to being show quality my friend tells me. Seems the trend at the moment is to steal them for fighting and throw them out if they don't prove good enough -------- ermm she don't fight lays on her back squealing like a stuck pig if a schip jumps on her lol.
This morning she's been to see uncle mike at the vets for some ear treatment and check her tummy out, bit spotty lovely lol. She's been shoplifting in the petshop and now has 3 new toys and rottie size chews, schips ones were too easy for her to kill lol, she's also taught grandad a confirmed dobie man how to play rottie style then how to snore rottie style on their kitchen floor!
Now all she needs to learn is that walkin on the lead is ok not doing a statue in the street looking gooey eyed at passersby to be rescued from her walk oh and of course how to poo on the OUTSIDE of the patio door not the inside ------- boy does she smell pheweeee!!!
Well done Schip and a MERRY Christmas to you

We took in a 13 week old rottie pup last night too :-)
5 mins into entering the house she is bouncing along with the others.
Are you keeping her?

Congrats - lucky rottie :)

Update
Merry has finally decided this is her HOUSE and started to show her true colours -------- hmm when you say off mum does that mean off the furniture or off the schip that was asleep on the furniture? BOTH! the schip who's been castrated has finally decided that rotties aren't to be eaten alive after both he and Merry went swimming with the koi at grandparents last nite, thought her bum was smelly lol. So now he's got the idea that we can eat, sleep, scratch and play on a certain rotties bed and she'll just watch all pathetic she ain't that bad after all lol.
The pom is really taking the urine as he's decided her big bed is his especially those tall walls just right for a pom to scent mark whilst low growling at an indignant rottie pup. Funniest thing I've seen yet is 6 schips in the rottie bed and still room for another couple but NOT the rottie, she's now realised she's big enough to just lay in there and push them all out pmsl!

ROFLMAO
