I met today a lady with a 6 month old retriever. It was golden long haired with exact white markings on each of its legs. The lady said it was a rare breed & had webbed feet. She did tell me the name of the breed but I couldn't understand what she said as she was a bit foreign but I did make duck ? retriever. Can anyone enlighten me on this? Thanks Becky.

Could it have been a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever?

Thats got to be the one Kay although the colour is usually a very deep gold, nearer to red I would have said.

The standard says:- All shades of red or orange with lighter feathering and underside of tail. White markings usual on at least one of the following places: tip of tail, feet not to extend beyond pasterns, chest and blaze. Lack of white not to be penalised. Any black in coat highly undesirable.

Does that sound like it guest?

Regards, John
