I buy "stock bones" from morrisons for Fagan ( 9 month old Irish Setter) and he loves them (sometimes  )  I now have Alfie ( 9 week old Irish Setter) and was wondering if they would be ok to give him?  Im not really sure what type of bone they are but Fagan crunches them up no problems I was a bit worried about giving them to pup because he is so greedy ;)

if i was you i would try him out with little chew sticks like um pepper sticks and things and see how he does with the other dog with that if he does ok get bigger in bones as he grows but not stock bones till he is about 5 months or so would be good

Are they raw when you feed them? As long as they are either small enough to crunch up easily (like ribs or chicken bones) or big enough to gnaw on (like beef leg bones) you should be okay. Just ask your butcher what type they are, he should be able to tell you

Delta was eating raw bones from 8 weeks old, mainly chicken wings

They are always raw, I will have to ask what type they are, some look like rib bones but im not sure what the others are.  I might start him off on chicken wings and see how he goes with them first :)

Your dog will tackle any bone at any age virtually; if his teeth are not strong enough to crunch them he will just enjoy the chewing process.
