My springer was fed on Beta as a pup. He had sensitive digestion and I tried a variety of different foods over a period of years to try and get it to settle. I then found Autarky and we've never looked back. He's put on some weight, has a nice shiny coat and is full of muscle. He's a working dog and needs lots of energy. In my opinion, Autarky provides everything he needs, for a good price.
my dogs havent looked better since i switched to autarky, and i think its reasnobly priced too

I fed Autarky for a long time and the dogs looked great.Only stopped when I changed to Barf.

I know a few people in Flatcoats who use Autarky, I even had my bitch on it before she had her litter. My friend reared her last litter on it they did really well. it is a good price because it is registered as a working dog food, so there's no VAT.

I have been told that the company have changed hands and there has been a price hike

from £11.99 to £17.99 (retail) and that shops are now required to buy a minimum amount at a time. The shop I buy for are not going to be able to buy the minimum order and are also finding that customers aren't too keen on paying more. :(

The company
HAS changed hands. It is Dodson & Horrell who own them now. Not sure of the price hikes but the D&H Chudley's range is cheap.
Just bought some at the weekend for £14.45 at a pet shop called jollyes. I've just changed my 2 from burns to this and so far they have been o.k, their output (that's a nice way to put it) has increased slightly. I was paying £33 fro burns so its less than half the price.

been feeding to now for 5 mths and the girls are looking great .....I also get mine from jolles's
I have had 2 Labs on summer Autarky for about 6 months and they look great. Younger one especially is looking very fit on it.
BUT...
Gave my new pup the spring version and it went straight through her. :(
Hoping she'll be ok on the sumer when it's time for it.

.... oh! what a shame, mine loved it!! (The very same bag as well)!!
Thanks Sharon!!
The 'Spring' version went straight through my Lab puppy to - Not Nice!!
mine are all looking good on the summer autarky, costs me 15.99 .

I feed mine a mix of Autarky and Arden Grange, and they do very well on it, icnluding puppies weaned on it. On it's own I initaialy found the dogs a little looser on it than normal for about a week, I think it is not being used to all the herbs. The one of mine who always used to sick up bile from time to time has stopped doing it since I have been feeding it, but started again when I ran out and had her just on the Arden Grange and some Raw. At the moment have pinched the dogs litlte freezer, so have to use up the human food before I can order more dog meat.

Our dog had a sensitive stomach when he was about 5 months and he is doing well on Autarky. It only costs us £9.99 for 15kg from Costco - I think this is the best price mentioned so far.
My dogs, and our visitor recently, are all fed on Autarky after the advise given to others appealed to me on this board.
I have found it to be excellent for all of my dogs, one has a skin complaint, one has wheat gluten allergy and is very "sicky" after eating most other foods and i never have upset tummys, the runs or coat problems. I have found that my pups do very well on this food when weaned onto it, i have nice glossy coats and healthy happy dogs.
I would recommend it to anyone. However, not all dogs will thrive on it.
Maby you should give the company a call on 0800 3285197 or 01832 736200 and get some samples? tell them you have about 12 dogs tho because the sample packs are rediculously small!!!

A better idea would be to buy one of their 205kg bags to sample it properly. :D

205kg - do they do bags that large

Sorry slip of the thumb 2.5kg :)

:D :D :D
