Hi where is the best place to get a crate for a car?

Hi Guest
it depends on exactly what you are looking for. You can use an ordinary crate for in the car or you can have a specially made one to fit the make and model of car and then customise it etc with emergency exits and put partitions in etc to seperate more than one dog. Some will also add drawers etc if you want to carry accessories. I have a double cage with partition and emergency exits in from MMG. Im made up with it :) Expensive but at least I feel the dogs are safer in the car.

You could try ebay for normal crates. There don't seem to be many car specific crates (ones with sloping roofs) but there are plenty of the normal right angle ones.

The best cages about IMHO.  Superb spec, the Silent Traveller, does not rattle, made by an ex aircraft engineer, will make to your specs, with escape doors, hooks etc and even designs them to unfold in your car so that you can maximise side and roof space (some cages will not go through the narrow openings of some boots).  Much cheaper than most of the bigger names too and shorter lead times for delivery.  Cannot recommend his services highly enough.

I will second all that Tohme has written about Barnsbrook, I had excellent service from him and no rattles.
