Hi have been breeding for over 15 years each female are diffrent my litter will be due on Dec 24 this female has had two litter already and this will be her last.with this litter she is so much calm and quite it is hard for her to move around she is having a large litter. she is eating and her temp is normal i don't recall her or any of my bitches having milk at 6 weeks she does have a very little clear discharge. do you think she might deliver soon some say early milk means a litter due within a week ? concerned i did talk to the vet early last week i was going to take her in for a C section and then spay but he advise me to have her go natrual and then after the pups are weaned to spay anyone think this is a good thing do you think since she is having a large litter i should just go with a planned delivery ? see a breeder always need advise we are always learning..lol thanks I'M so glad i came across this borad~ Babe~

I personally have never had a bitch have milk weeks before the due date, but one of my friends Danes had milk from week one of her pregnancy she was dripping with milk by the time the due date arrived, she had 15 live puppies & raised 12(three were v weak at birth)

I woul see how she was in herself & have the vet on stand by for a C section if it is needed

I have a veterinary textbook in which it cites a case of a bitch having milk and allowing pups to feed from her when she herself was 7 weeks pregnant.  She apparently went on to have and rear a normal litter.

My Sibe bitch seemed to get milk earlier with each litter.
She had three litters and by the third she had milk around the 6-7 week mark. She never lost a pup and the first litter were born 10 days late from the second mating.
The 2nd and 3rd were born exactly when expected.
