Hi There,

Am wanting to get a good insurance for my new puppy, does anyone have any good suggestions who to go with ?

Is there anything I should look out for when considering a insurer.

Thanks for your help (again) !!!

I use Marks and spencers....haven't made a claim yet but prices are reasonable.
You should look to see if there is a limit on claims....some will say for eg they will pay for the same condition for 12 months...not a lot of good if your dog needs ongoing treatment.Or they will have a limit on costs so will pay up to £3000 for example which may seem alot but again if long term treatment is needed is used up very quickly

Also Marks and Spency have a No Excess option too.

I agree with the above - I changed to M&S recently from a different insurer.  I would look at the excess charges - some companies now charge a percentage of the total bill instead of a fixed charge.  Make sure it's a life long policy and not just 12 months cover for each illness.  I also liked the fact that there are no excess charges at all for a very small increase in the premiums.  Premiums are very competitive too.  Haven't had to claim yet so don't know what they are like at paying up.
