I spoke to a woman yesterday regarding my great danes. She has said i should start putting tripe into his skinners food as there is not enough nutrients in skinners alone. Could anyone tell me if the frozen is as good as the fresh. How much a week should they be given? One dog is sixteen months the other six months.

Frozen is just as good as the fresh, but as to quantities, sorry, I can't help. I'm sure Chloe will be along shortly though.

But that's not fresh tripe from the butcher!  You need to be feeding green tripe, with all the good stuff. :D

Frozen is as good as fresh but not sure on quantities for a Dane.  No doubt some one in the breed will be able to help.

The frozen tripe I get is green tripe :D Not sure about the quantities either, but if I was to take a ghess, a pound a day split in the morning and evening feeds should be ok. If they're fed twice a day anyway!

The amount will depend on how much complete she is feeding them.If she is going to continue feeding the full requirement of complete then I would say only add about 1/2 a day...you don't want weight being gained too quickly
