I have bought a very expensive goose down Toggi horse riding jacket. I am dreading washing it incase it loses its "puff", or i kill it.  How should i wash it.IT does say i should do it on a delicate cycle and then tumble dry with 3 unused tennis balls, thought this weird, what do they do??  Any tips???   Also i have some white gloss paint on the arm, any ideas how i could safely remove this??   thanks peeps!!!  xx

Dont have one Danny but my friend does.  I know she tumble drys hers with tennis balls as this helps to distribute the feathers and stops them collecting at the bottom of the jacket.  If you try and dry them on their own you end up with all the bulk at the bottom of the jacket.

I don't have a goose down jacket, but I have a feather filled one. I normally take mine to the drycleaners to get it cleaned. I wouldn't trust myself to try and wash it  :D
