In between my posting on champdogs I have started to decorate my room at last, I have a passionate hate fpr white ceilings (which I have had to have all my life) and now I decided that was it, I was allowed to do whatever I liked (within reason of course) and so I have gone for "neat pink" ceiling :D After acouple of coats it looks great, but now I hate every other room in the house because it has a white ceiling...

I still have all the walls to paint in a blueberry cream, fitting it around school work, dog walking/running, dog showing, dog anything elseing and champdogs it is a slow process, but I am getting there... :D

I don't have one white ceiling in my house :D

Oh cool sara...How I wish my parents had more sense....our living room and dining room has lovely pistassio green walls and white ceiling :( Ohwell I will just have to spend more time hiden away in my room on champdogs ;)

Hopefully will get it finished ASAP, but then it's dad finding time to lay laminate flooring (I don't think I could even attemtp that stuff, I'm only young!!

most people think I'm odd if I say about the ceilings but when they come to the house they don't notice as all  blend in "tastefully" lol

when you're older and got your own place you'll be able to do it too :)

I can see why people think its odd but it does open up the room, theres no sudden top so overal room seems larger.

Yes when I get my own place the whole house can be pink and purple :D

Maybe brown would suit it better with lots of dogs in winter? :D

I was thinking that mine should be brown as I washed marks off the walls the other day :D

I was thinking the same today as i was putting a coat of emulsion over doggy splashes, in my hallway

we still love 'em....mud or no mud!

I dont have a white ceiling in my house either ;)  all of my ceilings/doors/woodwork are cream as my walls vary in different pastal shades so it blends in and isnt as stark as white.

I used to have coloured ceilings, but after a while you feel they are 'dirty' so have gone back to the lovely clean white!  Walls and skirtings are still coloured though, one room we had painted the ceiling almond white, and it looked like we smoked a thousand fags a day, not bad considering nobody in our house or family smoke...............lol.

I wonder if they only look dirty because you are used to white ? ;)  When I lived at home I decorated my room when my parents went on holiday, I painted the ceiling a very pale lilac and they didnt notice until i pointed it out.  When I moved my mum was shocked when I said I wanted to paint my ceilings cream, but she absolutely loves it now its done and wants all of hers that colour :D :D :D
