Topic Dog Boards / Health / Discharge

Hi

My bitch was mated nearly 3 weeks ago.

We have noticed a difference in her as she has always been a fussy eater and eats very little unless its our dinner!

However she has started to eats LOADS and is constatntly hungry, also we have notioced that she has a very fishy smelling discharge.

Does anybody know if this is normal or should I be worrting about Pyometra??

All advice/answers appreciated

Thanks
Jay

I'm not sure if this is normal but I don't think so, But either way it is symptons of pyo so I would go off to the vets just in case.  It's not worth the risk when you bitch is involved is it?

I too would take her to the Vet asap.

Let us know how things go.

Put it this way, if it were my bitch with an offensive discharge her head would be spinning in my rush to the vet.

Same thing happend to my girl 3 weeks post mating, we took her to the vet and she said it was a slight infection after mating, she was put on a course of anti-biotics and she was fine,!
