Hi there, I've tried and tested many products and nothings worked!!! I have Shih Tzu whos colourings are Gold and White, of course had to be White around the eyes, I just keep hair trimmed around her eyes. I use a surgical scissors that are about 3" long and very sharp but rounded tip. So it don't catch her, these did cost fair bit though. There used for eye surgery (I'm nurse) but I have been doing it since she was 3mths old so she sits still or goes to sleep when I do it. You don't trim much, this cuts the horrid smell out! But do use fresh cows milk sometimes to clean, which helps alittle??? Give it a try....it's not for every pup though. Kelly.
