When I was at school my favourite pudding of all time was Gypsy tart.I know you can still buy it in Kent and no doubt in other parts of the country but up here in Lancs they've never even heard of it.
So does anyone have the recipe...cos its a long drive from Manchester to kent for a bit of cake!!

Hope you get a reply Archer. Gypsy Tart was also my favourite pud, and I have searched for years for a receipe. I was at school in Kent during the early 60s and this was often (not often enough) served at school dinners.
