Any owners out there what do you feed your adult Keeshond. Mine is on Iams adult medium size (He didnt like Hills Science Plan for some reason) They recommend Half a cup twice a day for a medium dog. This dosnt seem to be enough for him and looks very little in reality when its in his feeding bowl. Hes currently getting around three quarters of a cup and half the meat from a chicken thigh small ish (as a treat mixed in) twice a day.

I am worried he is getting a bit over weight, I know you are meant to be able to feel their ribs. I cant feel his although they do have alot of fur infairness ! He get walked a couple of miles a day on lead, they dont seem to like massive amounts of exercise. I dont let him off the lead, if he sees a cat / squirrel / small dog, in fact anything small that moves hes off and hard to get back.

As treat we give him pigs ears. He dosnt get them every day, they are fresh ones and can be quite big.

Any complete food guide should be adjusted according to your own dog.I used to feed Autarky and could only feed my oldest dog 1/2 the recommended amount.Every dog is differen to if your dog is getting a bit podgy just cut his food back slightly and see how it goes.
