It would depend if there are endorsements on your bitches KC papers.
Have you had her hip scored yet?

You cannot be KC registered.Breeders can become a member of the KC acredited breeders scheme)think thats what its called) but have no idea how sorry!
Well done for getting her health tests done and good luck with your litter

Even if you dont have to have the breeders permission, I would say it would be polite to keep her informed.

Hello Stella,

I think you are referring to Kennel Club registration for your bitch's puppies. When you want to breed from your bitch you need to have a litter registration form from the Kennel Club. Most stud dog owners have these and can give you your registration for a litter form. On this form the stud dog owner has to fill in the details of their dog, such as his name and registration number or stud book number. You fill out the same information for your bitch, then when the puppies are born you fill out the rest of the form. You will need to fill in the puppies chosen names and sexes. You will need to read the endorsements you can put on the pups, such as not to be bred from, not to have an export pedigree etc...
You then send this form off to the Kennel Club. If they approve the names you have chosen and the details of your bitch and the stud dog are correct, they will then register your puppies. Details of this can be found on the KC web site.
The breeder of your bitch would be very helpful to you with these details and would probably be able to help you choose a suitable stud dog for your bitch.
