Can someone please tell me how to put the smilies in.  I have looked at FAQ and no help that I can see.   Most boards have them at the top and you can just click on one to insert it but on this board I can see no smilies to click on.  I have tried to work it out on my own but have given up.

Oooh curses, I'm not sure about that as mine just worked but you can enable various things in 'Options'...or not :D 
Blonde moment! Can't fathom it out either. Are you typing the symbols and they just don't work?

Yes that is what I thought.   I've been to Options and enabled everything I can under the sun.  But it does not give me the option to enable smilies.  Woe is me  [if I had smilies enabled I would put one in here!]

well i got one by typing it in but it seems a long drawnout process - I would rather just click on an image.   Do the rest of you guys click on an image or do you all type out each appropriate smilie [drain on the memory banks eh?]

It is only two finger strokes for the basic one ;) :D :) Hardly a drain on even MY memory banks :D
