my pup had some antibiotic injections nearly a week ago,2 one day,2 the next day and 1 the following day,the injection site in 2 places is huge and they i'm sure were sundays lot,is this normal,they don't seem to hurt him but are about an inch square and feel a bit fluidy,thankyou.

I think you should telephone the 24hr vet for advice. It's probably fine but it's best to hear that from the horses mouth than worry yourself :)

Hi

If they were Synulox injections this is not an unusual reaction.

If it was Synulox then please ask your vet to notify the manufacturer and I feel that the rest of us should do the same.  I have spoken to my vet about this and he told me that in horses they are recommended to give this drug IM rather than sub-cutaneously.  When given to my dogs in the muscle in their rump it does not come up in a lump.

My oldest bitch had a rather more aggressive reaction to it and as a result has a couple of bald lumps on her neck although I have never seen or heard of this reaction in any other dog
