Hi

I know that it is illegal for many vets to dock tails however there are few who are licenced and are able to dock.

Does anybody know of a vet that is able to dock in the North West area?

I am sorry if this offends anybody and know I might upset a couple of you so I appoligise in advance.

Marcus

You'll need to pay your money and join The Council for Docked Breeds!

It's not actually illegal for vets to do it, but it is frowned upon, but like Val says if you join the cdb they will be able to give you names and address of the closest vet that is prepared to dock for you.

Or you could just leave the tails ;-)

Docking is only illegal if done by lay people; it is NOT illegal if carried out by vets.

Not all vets will dock however.

You need to have the vet lined up before the litter is born as, ideally, it has to be done within 2/3 days of birth.
