One of my cats has had a wee on my new carpet. I have only just had the carpet a couple of months. The other hall carpet was a favourite place for one of them to pee on and no matter how many times I washed and disinfected it you could still smell cats pee and so could they because they kept going in the same place. Is there something I can wash the spot with so that they cant smell it and use the same place again. It would have to be something that dosent contain bleach as I dont want to ruin the carpet.

Biological washing powder diluted in warm water works well and I've also used 'Shout' spray too :)   you can use it in a vax or similar.  I sprayed on the 'shout' to dampen the carpet and left for 15 mins then rinsed with a vax.

Odorkill is excellent for getting rid of cat urine smells completely and won't ruin your carpet.  The 'enzyme' sprays you can buy in Pets at home and similar places is a waste of money IMO -even when they are called 'industrial strength'

I use odorkill, i have four cats and one in paricular is very sensitive to change - he used to urinate next to the front door (obviously as we walk in and out new smells and secents are brought in and made him uncomfortable) i cleaned the area thoroughly with odorkill and although this got rid of the smell and cleaned the area it didnt stop him going back to there again (because of the outside smells) i continued to clean the area with odorkill and bought a Feliway Diffuser. Hey presto at 6yrs old he stopped, the carpet is clean because of the odorkill and he feels happier because of the feliway.

Saved me having to buy an entire new carpet, cat and owner are now happy :)

Odorkill is available from the animal health company (see link above) and i get my feliway from http://www.petdrugsquick.co.uk/?p=siteinfo - its the cheapest that ive found it on the net (much cheaper than the vets!)

Good luck and hope you can stop those bad kittys :D
