This may seem like a strange request but I need some advise. We are due to collect our new little family member the weekend before Christmas and we can't wait. My question is that we have been invited to my mothers for Christmas and boxing day but I am concerned and want an experts opinion. We would have only had the puppy at home for 4 or so days and I do not know if taking it to another house for 2 days would be wise. The house is not an isse as there are no other pets and it will be quiet but would this change so soon after taking it away from the litter be disturbing for the puppy? If so then we will happily stay at home as our priority is the puppy's welfare not Christmas. Feedback would be most welcome.
Hi
As an alternative if it is just your parents why not invite them to you over Christmas. It might be that your breeder will keep the pup for a few more days - last time I had a litter over Christmas I ended up keeping 9 pups until they were nearly 10 weeks old and the New Year was out of the way as well !
im sure the breeder will keep pup till day after boxing day ( i would ) thias would probably be the best solution and then once the excitment of xmas is out of the way you will have something else to look forward to. good luck what breed is it ?
It's a little Border Terrier, we can go and visit in a week or so to meet him and I can't wait! Re Christmas, we're going to stay at home and have the time with the puppy.
