As I'm sitting here catching up on the postings fireworks are going off.  When is it going to end.

<<When is it going to end?>>

Hopefully last night at 1-40am but I don't hold out much hope.

well its still going on round here and i can assure you all its got nothing to do with diwali as we have no asians round here!they are letting them off after 11pm too as though its more exciting breaking the law, im really sick of it and the dogs are nervous wrecks!!:(

Yes fireworks are still going off around here tonight,i thought new laws are in force, my labs dont appear to be bothered, my cat is terrified, i am really fed up with them too. What is wrong with these people, i think they are so sad.    Sheila.

Same her.  gong by previous years I don't expect it to end until well into the New Year!!!

Thank god my dogs reactions to them is just annoyance and not fear.  So I just have to yell at them to shut up when they bark at them.  Having had a bitch of another breed that was absolutley terrrified of them, I do wish they were banned except for orgtanised displays for which a License was needed.

Still going off here in Bristol too, the trouble is any left over fireworks in the shops here have all been reduced to half price so there seems as many this weekend as there were on bonfire night!

Two of my girls hate them so we've had yet another evening of TV up loud, radio on etc.

Queer as it sounds Sharon (fellow Bristolian :D) because my Lexi reacts to them, I actually end up taking the dogs out into the din, as I have found they don't react to them while I am out.  This seems to have helped her settle when they are goining off when at home (this being her first real bonfire night (she was 8 weeks last year).

So if your dog is not reacting out of fear, but more due to defending home from unknown invaders, actually taking them otu to see what they are can help.  Of course I would only advise this if you are absolutely sure they aren't afraid.
