After winning a 15kg bag of Dr Johns in the summer (I'd never heard of this before), I was going to give it away, as I was feeding my 2 beagles on AG (just finished the bag). Does anyone else feed Dr J's? If I've read the bag correctly, it appears that I need to feed double the amount of Dr J's to the AG. Also, the protein content is a little lower so hoping this may calm my 2 year old down a little (I can hope).

Nutritionally Dr J's is not a patch on AG, I'd stick with that if your dogs are looking good on it and give the AG away!

Oops that should've read give the DJ away!

Christine, did wonder why I should give the AG away!
I'm not too happy feeding it to them (and their poos are now enormous). But I'll see how they go and if they start losing condition will change to the Burns (also won).

My daughter feeds her Mastiff on Dr John's Silver and the dog looks fantastic. Never has the runs and a 15kg bag lasts over a week.
In fact the dog could do with losing a bit of weight. I don't rate the food at all but if a dog looks good on a paticular food why change it.
I tried it a year or two ago and all mine were sh*tting through the eye of a needle for weeks.
Gilbertson & Paige are doing a Ferret food now and that's not very good either.
I tried their range when it became popular years ago and, except my daughter's dog, I've never met a dog that thrived on it yet.

i know a guy who works for them..he told me the most expensive part of making the feed was getting the bags printed :-(
i have always avoided the stuff like the plague.
