Hi
Just found a tick on Toby, found it while i was cuddled up on the sofa with him,
what is the best way of removing it please, its dug itself quite deep, please help,
if i cant get it out i will take him to the vets,

just wondering if it is not a tick now, it looks like a blood blister but not on the surface of the skin more like inbedded into the skin, not seen ticks before?

How did you get on Heidi?  A tick looks like a little white ball, I find the best way to remove them is to smear vaseline around it, leave for a few mins then remove with tweezers, beware though, the legs may still be waving! :(

Been to the vets, Oh dear i feel so embarrased the vet said he could understand me thinking it was a tick but on close examination he said it was a inverted nipple, yes ok i said a nipple dont laugh my hubby laughed all the way home,
it is red no way did i think it was a nipple,
Poor Toby has had his nipple pulled and twisted with tweezers and the poor darling must have wondered what was going on,
Ive never seen a red nipple like that before, please dont laugh to much,
