What do people do about their other dogs when they have a litter?  Heard so much about bringing diseases into the house not sure what to do this time.  We walk at an old racecourse and there are a lot of dogs there.

Hi I didnt let the mother go out of the garden mind i have a large garden so she was quiet happy, but with my others i used to walk them as normal only difference was when we got home i made sure they had their feet wiped down and their under carriages with a mild disinfectant diluted in a bowl of water

Same as Polly really. I have a 2wk old litter and I let the mum go in the top of my garden which is fenced off so my other dogs don't go up there (have 2 other dogs). When the pups come back downstairs (they are in spare bedroom with their mum) I will wash the other dogs paws under under carriage with a disenfectant (bought some off a vet website which is made to prevent parvo and dog related infections). As long as you make sure your other dogs can't pass on any germs that they can pick up ouside you should be ok.

I live just down the road from the Hyperdrug store and they are really nice people.
Can't do enough for you. The people there are really friendly and give as much advice as possible.
Unfortnately when we were going to order a regular medication from them our dog had a major 'cluster' of fits and had to be PTS. We 'phoned them and cancelled the order they were really nice and we got a 'free' visit for wormers etc.
Best people I've talked to for prescription or non prescription drugs around.
