i have been looking to get a show collar and lead as my dog will be ready to show soon,someone recommemded the luxaway cataloge,however ,it will be my first time and i haven't a clue which one to get,there were several(slip leads and show sets,combination,half check)could someone point me in the right direction as i'm really not sure ,and tell me exactly what the difference is between them all and which would be best to get,or a site that can tell exactly which is which,what would you recommend for a first timer ?thankyou.

It depends on what breed you have and how they are shown.  What is correct for a setter would be incorrect for a terrier. 

Could you ask your dogs breeder or go along to a show and see what type is being used for your breed.

Failing that, try typing your breed into Google and visit some websites of the breed, there may be photos of a dog in a show stand with lead on.
