I have 3 cats within a semi rural location in Bedfordshire and would very much like to offer a home to a dog. Could someone advise me whether the Cocker would accept the cats or not

Are you looking to home a pup or an older rescue?
If its an older dog then it would depend entirely on how and whether it has been socialised with cats

Im sure there are many households that have cockers and cats together :)

I agree with Lel, I think it will all depend on the dog itself and whether he/she is used to cats. If you get a pup and introduce to the cats straight away you shouldnt have a problem

I've got cockers and cats.  The cats are in charge.

I've got Staffs and cats and the cats are in charge. I think they are in most multi pet households.

I also have cockers and cats-and the cats also rule the roost!  My youngest loves to chase one of the cats-the only one who will allow him to, but thats all it amounts to, chasing, they all love eachother really!  And my youngest I have had from a pup but my other is a working cocker whom I rehomed at 18months old and he adores the cats!  In my experience, it generally is always the cats who are in charge! :)
