my beagle pup(five mths)has been scratching a little more often for the last week or two,he generally eats three meals a day, j.w.b duck and rice and barf,i brush him daily and his coat is beautiful,no dry or sore skin from what i can see,and no fleas/ticks,his ears look clear, although he seems to be scratching and biting these and his feet/legs a bit more,he has been eating j.w.b turkey and rice since the scratching got worse as my partner got this by accident instead of the duck(which i have got today)and i noticed that the duck says for sensitive skin, turkey for digestion,is this a coincidence do you think?or something else?the scratching is not excessive but i am keeping an eye on it in case it becomes a problem.what do you think ?

Rice, duck meat meal, organic oats, duck fat, whole linseed, duck gravy, alfalfa, natural seaweed, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate, D,L-methione, lysine hydrochloride, threonine, zinc methionate.

Rice, turkey meat meal, oats, potato protein, turkey fat, whole linseed, turkey gravy, alfalfa, natural seaweed, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate, D,L-methionine, lysine hydrochloride, threonine, zinc methionate

Look at the differing ingredients he could be allergic to/intolerant of turkey or potato.

Or it could be coincidence, he could have fleas, mites, have an inhalant or atopic allergy.

Go back to the original food would be my best guess ans start from there!

My staffordshire licked his feet excessively and it was eventually down to food

We had this problem with our staffie. We tried just about all foods and he is now on butchers non-artificial food, which we highly recommend.
