Does anyone know anything of this breed. My sister is wanting one and apparently they are a very rare breed in this country.

Must be a rare breed.lol. Its ok Ive looked on net about them.

I know of the breed and they are not exactly popular but are a very nice breed, quite large and vary in colour and come in the long or short coat, I personally would choose a breed such as the Leonberger or Estrella if you are going for a similar breed, Leonbergers are fantastic dogs, great with other dogs, animals and especially great with children.

Is Butch the dog in 'Cats & Dogs' an Anatolian Shepherd?

Very impressive dogs but definitely not the dog for everyone. They were on my shortlist after I lost my last Dane but not quite right for me. Best of luck.

Thanks for your help. I passed it on to my sis. Must say Leonbergers do look very nice dogs. Im very tempted but my hubby will say no.
