I have just rescued a beautiful Staff Simba, who is utterly gorgeous and I was wondering if I could show him.

If you have his papers and he is kennel club registed, you are listed as the owner, then yes you can.  Got friends who got a rescue dog, who had 1 cc, dog now has 4/5cc's!

However if you don't have his papers or registerd owner you can still show but only at companion dog shows, which are rare this time of year, they are summer shows, only for fun, and are a lovely afternoon out!

Unless you have his KC registration documents, and he's been transferred into your name, then the only shows you can enter him in are the fun 'Companion' shows. For all other shows you need his official details, I'm afraid. But good for you for taking him on! :)

thank you. I must have a look at the papers I was given I think many of them were for vaccines but I will look pronto.

also is there anywhere i can introduce myself here? I want to make as many friends as possible! also i like it here as it is simple to use :-)

Go to the "foo" board and just start a new post there introducing yourself!  Thats probs the best way... :)

Hi Kelly, Simba is lovely ~ I would think at 8 years old, he's perhaps a bit old to start a show career. Maybe a local companion show would be a nice day out for you & Simba though.
