Does anyone know if maiden and novice classes are just for puppies? 'Maiden being a dog that has not won any first prize(all puppy classes excepted whether restcited or not).'

Maiden & Novice classes are for any dog of any age that has not won the requisite number of classes so you could have a 6 year old & a 6 month old puppy in the same class, however most dogs would win out of Maiden & Novice whilst they are quite young if they are any good & if they have been shown of course

No.......Maiden and Novice classes are open to any age of dogs - but basically, your dog must not have won one or more 1st prizes(maiden class) or three or more 1st prizes(novice). However, wins in puppy classes do not count - so even if your dog has won 1st prize in a puppy class it is still eligible for entry in maiden.
