Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / TRYING TO FIND A COCKER SPANIEL PUP
- By Guest [gb] Date 22.10.04 13:31 UTC
I am desperately trying to find a cocker spaniel pup. I would prefer a solid colour, black or chocolate, and will travel anywhere to purchase. This will be part of a very loving family, I have 2 children of my own and 2 foster children. The urgency will not replace the importance of finding the right dog. I am looking for a bitch and one of excellent temperament (being with 4 children). If you can help either by providing a dog or informing me when a litter is due I would be eternally grateful. Please telephone 01772 722661 Harry & Wendy Clayton.

The best thing you could do is telephone nearest Breed Club Secretary.  As you don't say where abouts you live I can't say which one will be the nearest but all the contacts can be found Here.  Also have a look Here for breed specific help and advice.  If it's a show type cocker you are looking to add to your family you'll find it much easier to locate a black than a solid chocolate/liver - this colour is seen more often in working lines.  You may also find that as we get closer to Christmas, there are less puppies available from reputable sources - a well-bred puppy is worth the wait, though :-)

HTH :-)
