Hi

I am in the process of buying a bitch from a breeder overseas, she is being purchased on breeding terms.  First mating is to be done by the breeder using her top dog. She will be mated and then kept over with the breeder until she is 36 days into the pregnancy and then she will fly over to the UK.  I have spoken to my vet and the breeders vet and they have both told me that it is perfectly ok and is and has been done by many.  I just need to know from other  people if it is ok, I just want my girl to be ok and to arrive safely.

Please if you have any comments or opinions can you voice them in a polite manner.  I am putting this question on hoping that I will receive some positive and informative feedback not nasty and uncalled for comments.  I am aware that everyone has a right to an opinion but some people on this site do not have a very good way of voicing such an opinion.  I enjoy visiting this site please give me a reason to join and continue to come back.

Please just opinions on travelling while pregnant, not how you disagree.

I've never bought a bitch in whelp in to the UK, but know a few GSD breeders have done this & there have been no problems but they have come in via car & ferry rather than flying..

I think Gwen will probably know more about flying bitches in whelp into the UK & will be able to offer you first hand advise

Bet you are counting the days
