I am interested in Breeding my Bulldog.
He is cusrrently only 15 months old, but I am starting my research now.
I have found a lot of conflicting information on what is the right age to start putting a Bulldog out for Stud.
Can anyone help please ?

The best person to ask for advice is his breeder who should still be interested in him and his wellbeing, if you haven't already the first thing to do is get him into the show ring so he can prove his worth as a stud. All the best. Jackie H

Thanks for the help.
I have been considering showing Wilson, but to tell the truth am a little intimidated by my lack of experience.
Do you think it would be helpful to get one on one training for Wilson (he has been to a group training session and has been very receptive to it). Or would it be better to just tag along to the next amateur show we can get to and take a look ?
Thanks

If you find your local ringcraft class I am sure you would get help
regarding starting to show.
Most good breeders would be looking to see what your lad has done
at shows before wanting him to sire there litter.
As i can see you want to go about it in the right way I think the
ringcraft class is your first starting block.

would I be able to find this class through my Vets or should I contact The Bulldog Club of Wales ? (I'm in South Wales you see).

Hi There,
Where are you in South Wales? I go to a ringcraft class in Bassaleg, just outside Newport. I'm happy to help you find one close to you.

HI Naomi,
I am also owned by an Alaskan Malamute pup(14 weeks old)
and am looking for local ringcraft classes in Cardiff preferably. This is my first Mal, my breed being Samoyeds But its been a long time since we attended ringcraft and the old club no longer exists!
Thanks for any info

Hi Jessie,
I go to an excellent ring craft just off junction 28 of the M4. I don't know if you know the area, Bassaleg (Newport & District Canine Society). We have classses every second and forth Wednesday of the month, with match night on the second Wednesday of the month. I live near Caerphilly and I have a Mal thats nearly six months old. Where did you buy your puppy? I will have a look at my Welsh kennel club guide tonight for you. They list most of the ringcraft classes. Where in Cardiff are you?
Naomi
By the way, if you do start showing, please keep in touch as we will be able to have Mal classes at our open shows in the future if we can get enough entries. Kieras brother is in West Wales and his owners have said that they would come to future shows.

Hi Niomi, I Bought my pup from Bill O'Loughlin (Bassbarr) in Herefordshire.
She's 15 weeks old and an absolute dream! Shes so clever she was houstrained in two weeks and she sits and gives her paw(when she feels like it). She's extremely sociable and gets on wonderfully with my two Sammies.
We're in Fairwater but Bassaleg is not too far away ,is there a number i could phone or should i just turn up?
Also do we pay subs?
I'd love to stay in contact and find out about the other Mals.
My Email is on my profile
Speak to you soon
Jessie of Snowallen Samoyeds (and Tikaani the Mal)
