I'm looking for some advice - my bitch started her first season about a month and a half ago (38 days ago). She bled for the first three weeks, however now she has become very 'clingy'. If I'm upstairs for any reason, she will sit at the bottom of the stairs and whine constantly until I come down then all she wants to do is lean on me an put her paw up. Sometimes she will jump up on the stairgate and howl. Before her season she wasn't bothered if I was upstairs or not and she wasn't overly affectionate. I'm wondering if it is a possible phantom though I'm not sure if its too early after her season for one. It's also strange that its only me she wants and not my partner (he can go downstairs to see her and she will still sit there whining and looking up the stairs until I come down). Her teats are slightly larger than normal but this is the only outward physical sign.

I'm slightly confused as to her recent behaviour and would like to hear any insight into this.
