I am currently giving both my dogs 1 EFA capsule daily,i was hoping someone could tell me if they are the correct amounts to be giving.
My dogs weights are 8.5 kg and 6.1kg.
This is what it says on the back of the bottle:Fish oil sourced from salmon-500mg marine triglycerides-150mg
containing EPA-90mg
" " DHA-60mg
Evening Primrose oil-750mg
GLA -75mg
VitE -50 IU
Does 1 cap. sound enough?Should they be getting other oils aswell? One of my girls has atopic allergies,i was wondering if i should up the dosage?
TIA

I would be tempted to up the FBO to 1000mg and give 200 - 400 iu Vitamin E perday; is the Vitamin E you give currently natural or synthetic? Natural Vitamin E has twice the potency.
I rarely give EPO myself.
The link below explains what you should be looking for in supplements & what vitamins interact with each other. Also gives a guide to what foods contain them. For amounts to give I`d give child doses. After a while of supplementing I`d feed a varied diet rich in the all vits & minerals. :)

Tohme it is natural vitE.
Thanks for the websites Christine :) I wish it was easier to post links here!
I find some links wont work if they have a number at the end. ;)
