does anyone know if there is a substitute for steroids?.My bitch has been on a short course for a bad dose of wet exma[don,t think i,ve spelt that right] she suffers with bad itching due to allergy.But the steroids cleared everything up in a short time NO SCRATCHING but course finished and she,s starting to scratch again.Surely there must be a less servier treatment some sort of substitute. I,ve tried homeophathic any suggestions?

First identify the CAUSE of the itching, eliminate if possible before concentrating on the end result......................

Until you know the reason behind the itching you will remain on a vicious circle of treating symptoms.
