Topic Dog Boards / Health / Dry Feet Pads
- By GSPMUM Date 07.10.04 12:45 UTC
Ellis has very dry pads on his feet, to the extent they are starting to crack, whereas Bronnie's pads seem a little softer and are in very good condition.

Should we put anything on Ellis's pads or not?

Thanks

Juliet

A decent amount of road walking exercise will wear the pads smooth. Soft grass running will not do the same job of pad and nail wear.

You can use paw wax or vasaline to keep the paw supple and help protect against salt getting into the cracks in the winter weather., This can be usually got from you pet shop of online canine chemist
