We are getting ready for a new sofa and was wondering if any one could suggest a dog friendly one. I have been thinking about a leather one but not sure. We have a 6 month old SBT who we have allowed on our current (very old) sofa so she will be on the new one. She doesnt chew it but jumps on and off and plays with her toys on it. What kind of material would you suggest to be strong enough to deal with her claws ? Do other dog owners allow their dogs on sofa's or is it something we shouldnt of allowed ?

Thanks

Hi Ive had a leather sofa now for ten years Ialso have four boxers who sit and sleep on it, it was well worth the money it cost me besides you can just wipe them down

I've got a cream leather 3 piece suite and cocker spaniels..........no problems, they jump all over the furniture and it still looks as good as new!

I have a cream leather suite and my staffie jumps from one to the other and we have had no hassles with her claws doing any damage.
